When is the best time to take a BCAA?

It’s really up to you. If you haven’t eaten, it’s wise to take a BCAA before your workout to help provide fuel, as long as your body can tolerate it on an empty stomach. If you’ve eaten, you can sip on it during your workout (our BCAA + provides electrolytes as well so taking it during your workout can help replenish missing minerals and salts to keep you on track), or you can take it post workout.

How can I maximize the benefits of a BCAA?

Some studies suggest that you have a window of up to 5 hours to maximize the benefits of a BCAA supplement post-workout.   Long story short? Try it before, try it during, or try it after and see how your body responds. Go with what makes you feel best.
